Santa Shoe Box is a project that collects Christmas gifts for socially disadvantaged children, who may never before have received a Christmas gift. My husband and I support the people living on the dumps in Dobsonville. We feed them weekly and with the help of donations we clothe them and provide them with the basic necessities.

This Christmas we would like to bless the children living on the dump with a little extra and this is where you can help, should you feel the need to.

Basically, all you need to do is:

  1. Find a Shoe Box
  2. Decorate the Shoe Box- remember that the box will be kept and cherished and not tossed! Mr Price sometimes have specials on their gift boxes so if you are not up to wrapping a box, this is always an option.
  3. Fill it with:

* A Toothbrush
* Toothpaste
* Body Soap
* Body Cream
* A Face Cloth
* An item of clothing
* A Toy
* 1 Educational Item

*AND anything extra you would like to add……

Please make sure your gifts are age-appropriate and that you do not send any items which might be swallowed or mistaken as sweets.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE- all gifts should be NEW!!!!!

You can get your children involved and it really teaches them just how privileged they are. I have done this for the last 10 years with my boys and they have loved it!!!!

If you are interested please select a child from the tear off slip below-Fill your name in on the sheet and when you are ready to hand your Santa Shoe Box in, please deliver to Teacher Yiota in Red Group.

Shoe Boxes to be in by Friday, 22 November please.

Your kindness is so appreciated and on behalf of the children living on the dumps, I thank you in advance!
